    CANADA POST SELECTS FORD TRANSIT CONNECT TO REPLACE AGING NATIONAL FLEET OF LIGHT VEHICLES

    Through an open and competitive RFP process, Canada Post has selected Ford Transit Connect to begin replacing its aging national fleet of light vehicles and modernize its business, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, announced today. In total this year, 1,175 Ford Transit Connect vans will be purchased. This is the largest fleet sale of Ford Transit Connect vehicles in Canada to date.

    FORD CANADA SALES JUMP 51%

    Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited saw sales jump 51 per cent compared to last February, marking nine consecutive months of retail sales gain. February also saw record-breaking sales for several vehicles across the lineup including: the Ford Fusion, Taurus, Edge, Escape, F-Series, Lincoln MKS and MKX. Overall sales of cars increased 59.7 per cent compared to last February and total truck sales jumped 49.2 per cent. Market share also increased for the sixteenth consecutive month at Ford of Canada as the company finishes number one in Canada for the month of February.

    FORD CANADA LAUNCHES 2010 WITH 6% SALES INCREASE

    Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited kicked off the new year with a sales increase of 6 per cent in January with retail sales up 16 per cent. This marks the company's eighth straight month of retail sales gains and fifteen consecutive months of market share increases. January saw car sales rise 1 per cent, truck sales increase 7 per cent and Lincoln sales achieve a 59 per cent increase.

    Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited saw retail sales climb 7.5 per cent marking the company's sixth consecutive month of retail sales gain.     FORD CANADA POSTS FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR-OVER-YEAR SALES INCREASE; SALES UP 20

    Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited saw sales increase 20.1 per cent compared to the same period last year marking the company's fifth consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Strong sales were led by the award-winning Ford Taurus, which was recently named "Best New Family Car" in the over $30,000 category by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
